The 2013 Toyota Tundra, has a standard engine of 4.6-Liter aluminum i-FORCE V8 DOHC 32-Valve with Dual Independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence. The engine produces 310 horsepower at 327 pound-feet of torque. Not only does this engine have power, but also an ultra low emission vehicle rating. This means you can feel a little better about that earth you’re driving all over. Rear-wheel drive comes standard along with independent coil-spring high-mounted double –wishbone front suspension with stabilizer bar and low-pressure nitrogen gas-filled shock absorbers. A hydraulic power rack-and-pinion steering also comes standard along with power assisted ventilated front and rear disc brakes.
The exterior design includes multi-reflector halogen headlamps, color-keyed upper and chrome lower front bumper with chrome grille, chrome rear bumper, deck rail and tailgate caps, heated power outside mirrors, 18-inch wheels, high-solar energy absorbing glass, easy lower and lift gate, front and rear mudguards, windshield de-icer, and variable intermittent windshield wipers.
The inside comes standard with individual air conditioning settings for driver and passenger, four to six speaker stereo with MP3 and SiriusXM Satellite capabilities. Cruise control, fabric fold down seats, and an LCD display with the odometer, tripmeter and shift position indicator all come standard. Power outlets and cup holders have also been added for extra convenience.
Toyota considers safety to be a top priority in all of their vehicles. Standard safety features include: Driver and front outboard passenger seat-mounted side airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags and front and rear roll-sensing side curtain airbags, vehicle stability and traction control, smart stop and brake assist, 3-point passenger seatbelts, lower anchors and tethers for children (LATCH system), child-protector rear door locks, a tire pressure monitoring system and daytime running lights, and a trailer sway control.
